I'm making a step starter for a 9% Christmas Ale I'm brewing on Sunday. My plan was to make a 2L starter, allow growth for 24hrs then refrigerate it and dump off the wort to make a new starter.
Now, just 12 hours into my first starter the foam is literally coming out of the top of the beaker. Is there anything I can do to control it or should I just go ahead and put the starter to bed in the fridge?
