I pitched Wyeast 1028 to a 1.040 2 liter starter at 3:30am Tuesday.
I had no swirl, but solid wall of bubbles throughly the entire volume until this morning.
It seems to have decanted itself at about 70 degrees, and the slurry is too thick for the magnet to spin.
At what will be about 40 hours, probably 24 with effective aeration, is it a good idea to go ahead and step it up? Step 2 will be 1.5 liter, 1.040.
Brew day is Saturday, 1.087 Imperial Pumpkin Pie
