I recently used my fermenter to make a batch of Root Beer, which I bottled that day. My question is that I am now mid-brew for a Dead Guy Ale clone, and I washed my fermenting bucket, and it still smells like Root Beer.

Is this going to make my beer come out weird?

Not going to affect anything at all then? I am totally safe to use it?

Uh yeah.......THat's what I said..we get this question all the time...

If you are really concerned, try soaking it in water with a box of baking soda dissolved in it, let it set for a few days..but really..I wouldn't bother...since you have beer in it already.

Poeple who keg, use soda kegs to no detriment. As long as you made every effort to clean you should be all right..it's the same with beer smells in the fermenters, they don't really affect the beer at the time.
