I have been thinking for a long time about getting into homebrewing. The problem I have is that I have no space (I rent a single carpeted room). I've seen that most kits seem to include 5 gallon fermenting buckets. I think that this might be too large for my situation. I've also seen the 3 gallons ones, and this is a one gallon kit:
My fear is that if I get a 1 gallon of even 3 gallon, I won't be able to find a wide variety of kits to fit in these smaller buckets. I assume that I will be using kits (extracts) for a while before I get comfortable with moving onto mashing grain.
Is getting a 1 or 3 gallon kit a good idea if I want to be able to make use of the variety of kits out there?
Thanks in advance!
