I don't usually drink mixed drinks, but I want to have a basic bar set up for when guest come or if I do want a martini.
I never drink sugared drinks or soda, but wouldn't mind having a small canned or glass jar of juice in the cupboard for mixers. (I don't drink juice, or lemonade myself). I can buy tonic water or club soda, and keep that on hand.
I have two good bottles of gin, a decent bottle of vodka, dry vermouth, good tequilia, and probably some other "gifted" bottles like a bottle of Seagram's 7. I often have a rum of some kind, depending on what people leave behind.
I always have green olives on hand, and usually lemons. I have a cocktail strainer, and lots of ice available.
What else do I need to keep on hand for guests who may want a cocktail with what I have above? What are some simple cocktails that I can whip up with a few more shelf-stable ingredients?
