Sealing sanke keg

Is there any reason I have the hardest time dealing my sanke kegs, when they are filled. I have the hardest time getting the retaining ring fully seated.

Could just be the ring itself; get a new one if it is in poor shape:
SS ring McMaster PN# 92370A251
I would replace the o-ring at the same time #9396K215

Thank you I will take a look I'm gonna say it's the O ring but I'll prob grab a couple of each and see what I come up with.

I have never liked the idea of pulling the rings in with a pliers as it beats up the snap ring and the collar. I've found if you force the tube downward with either a 3 way clamp or I use some washers and a wonderbar, then you can spin that little guy right in with little friction
