I wanted to say thank you.

First, in general, for helping me get started brewing beer, then building a keezer.

But today I'm saying thank you for all the patience shown to me as I started brewing mead. I've got 3 batches under my belt, the latest here in photos. It's a Blueberry-Blood Orange mead made with Starthistle honey. It's strong, nearly 18# of honey in the 5 gallon batch, plus 7# blueberries and 7 average sized blood oranges.

I started it in March and it's quite drinkable already. I can't wait to dig into it even more in a year.

Also I know I probably should have filled them a bit higher, but they were the first 4 bottles corked. The rest will be up into the neck properly. These 4 are for quick consumption.
