Hey guy's
I have a couple of questions.......

1) How long does sanitizer last? I brewed yesterday and put it in a 5 gallon bucket with a lid on it, but not locked tight so it's been 24 hrs is it still good?

2) I brewed a nut brown ale last night and I got home tonight and the air lock was full of beer, the fermentation is going crazy and the foam is coming out the top of the airlock.
I don't have anything for a blowoff so what should I do here cause every hour beer is overflowing out the top of the airlock?

1) Depends on the sanitizer. Star San stays good for weeks (typically months, IME). It's effective as long as it stays at a pH under 3.5, but I toss it when it gets above 3.

2) I would take out the airlock and cover the opening loosely with sanitized aluminum foil. The mess is going to be unavoidable. This is all assuming you don't have Fermcap - if you do, just add it.
