Moving to smaller place, not brewing as much as I used too, looking to sell the following items via local pickup (in Roswell, Shallowford & Johnson Ferry area). I'm posting them here exclusively to allow HBTers first dibs before listing on spam ridden Craigslist.

Message me at [email protected] and post in this thread to claim. First come, first served, cash only, available to sell on weekends only (can't brew as much because my weeks have become consumed by my job :(

Will you ship the MLT? I'll take it if you'll ship.

I don't have any spare boxes big enough to pack the MLT in, so by the time I factor in the cost of a box that size, packing material, plus $hipping something of that size (dimensional weight), it would easily cost $100+, in which case you would be better off buying new from a brew shop.

I'm not really able to ship these large items for a low price and am looking to sell via local pickup, sorry mate.

Man that's a long drive but I'd love to get that chiller. Nice offers, someone us gonna get some great deals.

Yep, they're priced to sell. I was going to trash since I'm moving to a smaller place, but then I realized that they were meant to make beer and deserved a good home :D

How did you mount & seal the thermometers?

Drilled a hole just slightly smaller than the probe. Swabbed some aquarium silicone inside the hole with a toothpick, wiggled the thermometer(s) in, wiped off excess silicone from probe with rubbing alcohol, applied a small amount of JB Weld to the exterior part of the probe (the part touching the orange wall).
Doesn't leak and I got less paranoid about losing heat from opening the lids to check the temp of my mash or sparge water.

albannach - very cool, thank you for the instructions. Have you had to change the battery yet? If so, what would you do?

Have not had to change the battery yet. It turns off automatically after around 30 sec. I tried to leave enough space so the battery could be accessed, but I figured at $10 a pop, I could always just install another small thermometer if that one ever died.

I'm interested in the 5 gal mlt hlt... and I'm located in Marietta area. I'll shoot you a pm and maybe we can meet up. Thanks.
