hello,
i am brand new to homebrewing. i just got my home brewing equipment kit for my birthday this past weekend. i also picked up the Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar kit. i have a few, probably extremely basic, questions regarding this:
1. the kit comes with hazelnut flavoring. from what i read, i could not see where they say to add this to the brew. has anyone used this kit before? if so, when did you add the flavoring? my guess would be to the priming sugar slurry before bottling.
2. the kit recommends racking to a secondary fermenter. from what i've been told, this is a somewhat outdated process unless you plan to leave your beer in the primary fermenter for a long time before bottling. any thoughts on this?
