Riesling Recommendation

hey folks wife and I both want to make some wine. (pro brewer and have been homebrewing for 10 years) but we cant really agree on a wine. She likes dry reds/whites and i like sweeter whites.

We seem to both be able to agree upon a "semi sweet" Riesling. I figure i can always back sweeten if i need mind a little sweeter but i need a good recommendation on a kit. Honestly i dont want to shoot for the $100+ kits. Its just too hit or miss that one of us wont like it.

Any suggestions?

1. Make a dry white; you can back-sweeten your glass with a few drops of sugar syrup at serving.
2. Skeeter Pee can be homemade, cheaply, and is delicious.

It would probably be best to make a good dry red your wife would like! Especially since it is Valentine's Day!
You can get a decent kit for about 75.00. Also make another kit - a sweet wine for yourself.
There - everybody would be happy!
