I have one part of my yard in which I'm growing three hop plants. Two of them have bines and leaf stems that are red in color. I'm not sure what causes this and even more puzzled why the Hallertau is still pretty much all green. The two varieties that are red are Centennial and Mt. Hood. I do have another Cent. bine in another part of the yard that has some redness but nearly as much as this one. All plants are growing as well as I expect them too but even the cones on the Centennial are a little red.

If it isn't Canadian Redvine, the bines can be green, red or purple. And the color can change during the growing season.

My chinooks (provided by Glen) also have red bines. They are going nuts, they look about 11' - 12' and are still climbing like they own the sky. I'll try to get some pics up when I get a chance.
