I want to brew an IPA with what I have available. The base will be:

1/2 lb crystal 40
6 lbs gold lme
2 lbs light dme

This should give me an OG of about 1.062. I will be doing a full boil and have the hops available to follow the hop schedule for NB's Jamil's Evil Twin recipe:

.25 oz. Columbus (60 min)
.5 oz. Columbus (20 min)
.75 oz. Cascade (10 min)
.75 oz. Centennial Type (10 min)
1 oz. Cascade (0 min)
1 oz. Centennial Type (0 min)

I am wondering if I have enough of a malt backbone to support those hops. The Evil Twin recipe is more complex than the malt I have available. I would also be open to other suggestions. I have 1 oz palisade, 1 oz. columbus, 1 oz. centennial type, and 2 ozs. cascade. Thanks!

Add 1/2 lb of sugar late in the boil or at flameout.

Double ALL of your hop additions aside from flameout. Add a 3 oz. dryhop.

Alternately, you could go more APA and cut some extract, but keep the hops as is.
