Re-using yeast cake

Has anyone ever waited a day to re-use a yeast cake from a previous beer? I transferred a beer tonight and want to use it tomorrow.

Yep, I do it all the time. You won't need the whole cake, though- probably only about 1/2 cup or so. The rest can go into sanitized mason jars in the fridge for the next three batches or so.

Yes. Keep it sealed up and it will be fine for a day or two.
