I have a honey Kölsch. It comes with 1lb of clover honey. i happen to have raw clover honey, which is the honey comb and everything.

Im curious if i put the whole thing in and let it ferment the honey, if the wax would have a negative effect on the beer. Its not a huge deal, but im not looking to go out of the way to extract the honey from the comb.

When I get honey from a tree or house I usually make mead with it. If you just squeeze the wax a bit underwater for a few minutes the was floats up to the top.

But putting comb into water without crushing it will keep the honey from disolving for quite some time; even as long as natural fermentation to take place, as in several days.
