Hey guys.
I just purchased "The Brewhouse Pumpkin Ale"
http://www.rjscraftwinemaking.com/product/Pumpkin-Ale?pageID=75874baf-db19-599f-4eab-388fa78e78f4&sortBy=ProductTitle&maxRows=10&
I need some advice on the yeast to use. The kit comes with a 15g Coopers yeast. I also have a pack of Safale S-04, Safbrew S-33, and a washed mason jar of Safale US-05. This is info regarding the kit
Bitterness: 22 IBU
Malts: Pale Malt, Carastan malt
OG: 1.046 -1.047
Hops: Northern Brewer and East Kent Goldings
Colour: Straw, golden
Serve: 7˚C / 45˚F
I'd debating between the S-04 or US-05.
Also, if I was to used the washed US-05, could I mix up the brewhouse kit and use 500ml to 1L of that to create a starter for a 24 hour period to get the yeast active again (about 2 months washed) and pitch without harming the wort?
Thanks in advance!
