Hello folks, I'm looking for a pump that I could use for general brewing that would also be capable of being used to passivate through a CIP (with a rotating head).

  • It sounds like most march pumps do not have the pressure to work a rotating head CIP.
  • Most sump pumps are not rated for higher temperatures (I'd like to reach at least 150F for passivation).

Any recommendations on a pump? Ideally it would not be a sump, as I want to be heating the water via a flame while it is in use.

Let me know if any of my assumptions are wrong above...... Thanks!!

Why the "passivation" requirement? Are you fabricating kettles on the side?

Passivation is usually a one-time deal, unless the kettle suffers subsequent abuse (usually, abrasive "cleaning" products or practices)...

Cheers!
