Priming question

Could someone tell me if there would be any benefit to use DME instead of regular priming sugar? (taste, head retention, bubble size,etc)
 
No real benefit I can think of, only disadvantages like the fact that it is more expensive, not 100% fermentable and you have to use more....
 
Some people think it's preferred just because they can say they never put "sugar" in their beer.

Well, everything is a sugar. I think you'd have to be pretty hard pressed to say you can taste the difference between bottles primed with extract, corn sugar, or table sugar. It's a really small fraction of the overall beer.
 
Thanks. That's what I thought but my friend is convinced that it will make a difference.
