Priming Mead

What amount of sugar is used to prime a single 750mL bottle of mead? Looking for a beer/cider level of carbonation.

Well 750ml is about 25 ounces.. give or take.. so I would say double what you use in a 12 oz beer... but then again I have never carbonated just 1 bottle.. should make sure you have a pressure rated bottle and that you use either a cap or champigne cork.

Actually, I have Grolsch-Style 750mL and 1 L bottles, so hopefully we won't have glass schrapnel...

Can't hurt to keep them in a wooden box or rubbermaid plastic bin.

Otherwise, I'd say use the same amount you'd use for beer.
