Premium Silicone Carboy Hood

Anyone use this? Thinking about using it to ferment with, then when its time to cold crash I will just push the button and turn it into a solid stopper. Hit link.

$12 for that little thing seems expensive, unless it comes in a six-pack.

I just use a 1/2 cent piece of foil or saran wrap.

I just use the standard carboy caps. When fermentation is underway, I use the common 3-piece airlocks. When primary is finished, I simply remove the airlock and replace the nipple cap. The silicone thngy is nice, but I can't justify the high cost.

Looks like it will still paint your ceiling if you get blowoff.
