Look inside at the valve, make sure you can remove it. If so, you can put a fitting in it for a valve and manifold/screen for a MLT.

The big catch is can it survive the heat for 60 mins without warping? Thats the big question.

I chose not to skimp on mine, I have a BIG cube, a 5 gal and a 3 gal. All Igloo. Never had a problem.

Yeah, I ended up going with a Home Dopey one for $40. In the end it was probably the same price.
 
I bought one of those for $20 at TSC last year. The spigot looks like it would leave an odd shaped hole when removed, but It leaves a nice small round hole. The inside is not tapered like the outside either. It would work just like any other cooler. The insulation seems decent. Held my strike water at temp for over an hour. I am going to use it as mash tun i believe.
