Hello everyone.

Recently purchased a Spike Nano System. It came with it's own plate chiller. I have ZERO experience with plate chillers. I had previously made the "investment" into the bigger counterflow from Exchillerator - the Brutus. Wondering if swapping to the brutus is worth it? Or do I have both available on the nano and use the Brutus when doing hoppy beers or beers with adjuncts in the boil and use the plate chiller for everything else?

Anyone have any personal experience with the plate chiller that comes with the Spike Nano system?

@SpikeBrewing any comments to add - your plate chiller vs the exchillerator brutus?

Thanks!

Our plate chiller is specifically sized for the 1bbl Nano and all the fittings are designed to attach between kettles, chiller and fermenter. The Nano should have also come with a tee fitting to plug a temp probe into the outlet. Page 13 of the User Guide talks about the plate chiller as well.

We'd also recommend checking out the Spike Nano User Group which is specifically for Nano owners.
