aren't kegs made of SS? Are there some that are made from Aluminum? Is aluminum bad for you if you were to use it for a keggle or fine also? No health concerns or anything you have to do to "prep" them before you use them to brew with right?

Thanks all!

Btw, here is a picture of it.

Take the edge of a screwdriver to it. If it leaves a little scratch, it's stainless. If it leaves a big scratch, it's aluminum. Looks like stainless to me.

Is there a year mark on it? That keg looks like stainless to me. I have 6 of those.

hit it with a grinder...i heard aluminum won't spark...

also anything after like 88 (google it) would be stainless..

It's a bud keg and it's not old it still has a inventory sticker. It's stainless. The older ones have round holes on the chimes. But I've never seen a aluminum anhauser keg anyway.

If it has liquid you can drink, you smile.
If it doesn't, you frown.

Uh sorry, thought we were talking about something else.
