PET Big Mouth Bubbler w/New Universal Lid – Blow Off Tube?

I just picked one of these 6.5 gal carboys up and I need to rig a blow off tube system for it.

On my other carboy I use a #10 drilled bung with a 5/16 hose stuffed into it for my blow off tube. The Big Mouth Bubbler lid takes a small universal bung and before I head out to pick one up, I wanted to see what others may be using for their blow off tube system with these carboy’s.

I’ve seen they can take a 1.25” OD hose but I’m not sure I can make it bend sharp enough to fit in my ferm chamber. I think I have about 3” from top of carboy lid to interior height of my chamber before it hits the bottom of the freezer tray. I don’t want to modify the freezer.

Try a drilled stopper with an elbow barb like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008TSWKZ8/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20. I put 1/2" ID tubing on it, but 3/8" ID works too.
