After getting about 90% complete with my HERMS build (propane-fired boil kettle, 120V HLT) I have decided to go in a different direction due to a lack of space (aka constant nagging from the better half). My loss is your gain! All connections are brass quick disconnect. Here is what I am parting out from my system:
Brumatic DBC-1MA Control Panel (see eBay) - Paid $389, asking $325
- Custom-made to control a 120v heating element and a pump.
- Tested it once and it worked like a champ
15 Gallon Mini Brew HLT - $200 Retail (without mods), asking $100
- 2000W 120V heating element (wouldn't stay in the factory threading, so I MacGyvered it with some J-B WaterWeld)
- Ports for HERMS coil
- CDN ProAccurate Digital Thermometer - $18 value
15 Gallon Mini Brew HLT converted to Mash Tun - $200 Retail (without mods), asking $100
- SS False Bottom
- Hole Drilled for Blichmann AutoSparge (sold separately)
