I am going to run 165F water through my cfc to heat and stabilize my mash next time, I was just wondering if I should run it counterflow as when chilling or run it parallel (hot water and and cold wort enter same side) or if it should be counter flowed as well ( hot water in on opposite side and direction of cold wort out of tun)?

doesnt seem to matter to me. Counterflow should be more efficient in theory, but just for stabilizing temps, I doubt it really matters

Counter flow is more efficient.

With small delta t, take everything you can get. How are you controlling temperature?

Previously I used direct fire next time I will use my manually controlled hwt and chiller
