I have had a Belgian Wit in primary for ten days now... yesterday I zested an orange and added it to the primary bucket. There was alot of krausen still on top so the zest just rested on top of it, I figure the zest will fall when the krausen does.

Will adding the zest at the time I did be beneficial? Will it somehow mess with the taste? Also, If the feedback from you guys says that this is okay and will help my brew have a stronger orange flavor, I plan on adding more zest. How much?

I dont plan on using a secondary for the wit.. Not worried about the clarity for that beer. Alright cool.. I'll just zest a few more oranges and throw it in... thanks for the suggestion, david.
