Been there. Done that. You can always add gelatin at bottling/kegging time instead.
Yeah, good point about the gelatin, I've never used it. Is it true that the fermented beer has to be very cold before adding gelatin?
 
I haven't tried it but I have read that cold crashing with gelatin helps it work quicker. If you leave it at normal temps, it will still work but take longer.

Anyone have any experience with it?
 
I haven't used Irish Moss or any other clarifier since I went AG, until yesterday. I didn't do a protein rest with 16% rye. I don't have a lot of experience with rye, but I could not get it to clear worth a flocc during recirculation. figured it couldn't hurt.
