Tuesday was trash day and someone in my neighborhood was throwing away an old school dehumidifier. A cursory glance indicates 60's era. The back has about 40' of 1/2" or 3/8" of soft copper coiled up.
Obviously a coil for refrigerant, which may or may not be in there. If I take it apart and clean thoroughly, oxy clean, boil in vinegar and salt solution, any reason why I couldn't use the copper, say as a heat exchange coil in a HERMS?
