My pot doesn't have any volume indicators so I planned to measure with a fermenter and then score the inside accordingly. Then I realized that this may very well lead to corrosion and sanitizing issues. Is there a mitigating remedy in the hypothetical scenario where someone has already done this? Would Bar Keepers Friend, for example, suffice to repassify it?

Thanks!

Another way you can measure the amount of water in your pot is to make a dip sick and just mark it. Can be hard to read at full boil but it works. Just use a something that will go into higher temps, like a SS rod.
