Hi guys and gals. I am working up an oktoberfest recipe. I don't have the setup for lagering, so I'd rather cheat with a clean ale yeast than make a D-bomb with lager yeast. Here is what I have (calcs done in Beer Calculus)
Method: 5.5 gal batch, mash around 155 for some body, 60 min boil.
Grain:
10 Lb vienna
.5 lb carafoam
.5 lb crystal 135
hops:
1 oz pellet Hallertauer (boil 60 min)
.5 oz pellet Hallertauer (boil 45)
Yeast: wyeast 1007, fermented at its cooler end.
Stats:
og- 1.054
IBU- 24.2
SRM- 11
Any ideas?
