So... life in China didn't work out so well. I could deal with all the odd behaviors of the people, but my employer (a UK run company) made life there unbearable.
So now I'm in Angola and enjoying it for the most part. There are challenges to being here too, but at least I have started brewing again and have a bunch of new friends who are into it too. With the frequent trips to Cape Town (about a 4 hr flight) and the booming homebrew market there, we haven't been short on supplies. Actually, the only thing we've had difficulty finding in Luanda is a chest freezer of all things! They are here, but there is no yellow pages, so tracking one down is taking some effort.
Anyway, sorry to all my fellow brewers for such a long hiatus. (I was also working on a master's while I was in China.)
