So, a few weeks ago, it was late, I may or may not have been drinking...

Anyway, I happen across "Northern Brewer(germany)" hops.. 5lbs for $12.99..

So yesterday I got a box in the mail with 5 lbs of a hop that I have never used..

Do I just assume that I have bittering hops for a while? Are there any great recipes? I'm going to play around with it a bit, but even with 10g batches, it's going to take me a while to get through 5lbs..

Thoughts?

I think Anchor Steam uses NB hops. I’ve made a clone in the past for a different fermentation technique and it turned out nice.

It's a great hop, especially for maltier beers or stouts. I wouldn't (normally) use it excessively in the whirlpool or as a dry-hop, but boiling a handful for 20 minutes gives a nice flavour.
