Hey everyone - I just made my batch of Island Mist wine. I forgot to put in the 2 lbs of dextrose (for an increase ABV) so I added it after I put my yeast on top and slowly stirred. Now I know I shouldn't have stirred but I panicked, will this ruin the yeast?

I've never done wine from a kit, but stirring the yeast a little shouldn't hurt. I think some dry yeast manufactures even recommend pitching, waiting 30 minutes and then stirring.

Okay great - wasnt sure about that. And I assume I leave it in a dark place, like I do with my beer?
:mug:

You will probably be okay. Stirring is fair gental, though it does increase the contact with the air, but I think you will be okay.
