I am going to be doing a non-alcohol brew and wanted to know if there's a way to test for alcohol content after completion.
I will be using the "burn off" method to remove the alcohol post fermentation (prior to keg and force carb). This involves heating the beer back up to 175 deg., then keeping it at that temp for 30-45 mins. I know a hydrometer will give me the O.G. and F.G. for alcohol content, but will it give me a gravity reading to determine what alcohol has burned off?
If the hydrometer isn't the answer, does anyone know what I can use to see the final alcohol content of the beer? III have tried searching the web, and all I have found is a hydrometer and testing for alcohol using O.G. and F.G.
