Hey Everyone,

Anyone use one of these adapters to hook up a CO2 regulator to a nitrogen/beer gas bottle to run a nitro tap? I am converting a wine fridge I salvaged to a nitro kegerator. I need a Nitrogen regulator but I came across an adaptor being advertised - I have an unused CO2 reg.

Any opinions?

First I've ever see such a device (I use a nitro reg on my cga 580 beer gas cylinder) but I suppose it should work...

Cheers!

yep exactly that. First time seeing this as well. Did not really see any substantive reviews on such a device. Only really thought about it because I already have a Co2 reg sitting around from a duel tap conversion.

My nitro tank runs a CO2 reg with a swapped out coupler. 580 I believe.

Kegland and BOC do a stem that you can swap your CO2 stem to the CGA 580.
But I tried to do this on my spare reg and couldn't undo it, even being aware of the left hand thread. Others have struggled as well.
This adapter might be a good option.
I just get my CO2 cylinder filled with beer gas and use the same CO2 regulator seems to work fine. Might get better capacity on a dedicated Nitrogen Cylinder.

As nitrogen is a dry gas, volume * pressure is all you have to work with. Really doesn't matter what kind of cylinder or valve or regulator is used, the bottom line remains pressure-limited...

Cheers!
