Newbie rack to secondary...questions

Hi All,

So I racked my first batch to secondary this evening and have a few questions/comments.

1. After reading countless posts I went out and bought some Star San (side note - went to LHBS just for Star San but walked out with vinator, drying rack, and beer thief as well - SWMBO wasn't too happy). Anyway the Star San created a ton of foam when I washed out the carboy. I dumped out the carboy but left the foam behind. I know to not "fear the foam" but holy crap there was a ton in there, like 1/3 full of foam. I know it's 100% safe but it feels so unnatural!!!

2. When I told the lid off the primary some of the vodka in the air lock fell into the beer. Maybe 1/4 of the vodka. Is that going affect the outcome of the brew?
