I want to rig up a blow-off tube for my conical fermenter. I was planning to use a rubber stopper with about a 3/4" hole in it to accept a piece of 1/2" ID tubing. Any advice on how to drill such a hole in a rubber stopper?

Any other suggestions for a simple blow-off assembly?

Thanks!

I'm told the best way to do this is to sharpen the edge of a piece of metal tubing, put that in a drill, then bore the hole.
