Need help with attaching pics to a thread

I'm in the process of creating a thread and want to attach some pics from my computer so folks can help me figure something out.

My problem is I can't seem to upload the files. They are .jpg files, but I keep getting "The website cannot display the page" error, with "Most likely causes: The website is under maintenance" and "The website has a programming error".

I get the same error whether I try to upload 1 at a time or multiples.

Anyone have any helpful hints?

Have you tried resizing the pictures to less than 900 × 900 pixels?
When the upload is complete the pictures can be viewed in Preview Post.

How do I find what the size is and how do I change it?

Also, I would have thought the error I received would be different if it was just a file size issue.

Open the photo you have saved on your PC with photo editing software. With the software you will be able to resize. A printer installation disc often also has photo editing program.
