So I decided to try to be creative and make my own recipe, I had a little help from my buddy. It's a mini mash, here is what I did...

2.5 lbs. Crisp Pale Ale
10oz. Crystal 90
6 oz. FM Bohemian Dark*
3.75 lbs. Amber DME

Striked the grain at 160• F, 1 1/2 gallons
Mashed at 150•F - 90 min
Sparged with 1 Gal @ 150• F
(Mashed in a bag)
Added DME after sparge

Boil 60 min

1/2 oz. Magnum @ 0 min
1/2 oz. Cascade @ 45 min
1/4 tsp Irish Moss @ 45 min
1/4 oz. Cascade @ 50 min
1/4 oz. Cascade @ 55 min

OG 1.056

Pitched White Labs WLP 001 California Ale

I was going for an AAA style. The OG is right in there and the color looks really good. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this brew!

The amber is on the right...
