So I just made a Mash tun so I can transition to all grain. I also purchased a 30 stainless turkey deep fryer. So today I am going to brew my last extract kit, an Irish Red. I am experimenting with an additional 6 lb of 2 row pale malt that I am going to Mash as well as the specialty grain. Then add the extract and start my boil. Any thoughts? I want a strong beer.

Sounds like a poor idea to me. Dramatically upping the gravity of a kit without altering anything else is unlikely to produce a great beer. If you want an imperial red, you'll generally want to up the IBU and you'll definitely want a big yeast starter or multiple packs of dry.
