Hi guys,

Been doing some extract kits and followed some recipes from a book I have. I want to try my own. Here's what I am planning, please comment or help me adjust. The goal is a citrusy pale ale with some bite. Really want a light colored, yellow beer

8oz carapils
8oz caramel 20 L
6 lbs gold lme
3 lbs light lme
1 oz chinook 60 min
1 oz Amarillo 20 min
1 oz cascade 0 min

What do you think guys?

You may want to investigate the LMEs you are using. Briess' Golden Light has carapils in it. Make sure you aren't overdoing it.

What yeast do you intend on using?

I like to blend my crystal malts. For pales I like to use 20 and 40, and I think a blended crystal gives it more depth and character.

Can you provide the numbers?
