There is no better brewing music than Irish music maybe it's just in my blood but anyway I know good irish music is somewhat hard to find so I'll post some of my favorite bands and songs. I prefer traditional style over irish rock, it helps me think.
(My personal favorite group)
The Clancy Brothers:
The Irish rover
Mick McGuire
Johnny McEldoo
Cruiscun lan
Tim Finnigans wake
Nancy Whiskey
The moonshiner
Water is alright in Tay
Whiskey your the devil
Johnny I hardly knew ya
Tell me ma
Bold o'donahue
God Save Ireland
The Wind that Shakes the Barley
As i rove out
Beer, Beer, Beer
The Dubliners:
The Irish rover
The rocky road to Dublin (personal favorite learned to play this version on the tenor banjo)
The seven drunken nights
Whiskey in the jar
The black velvet band
The Tossers (Irish rock but in a much more traditional style than flogging molly or drop kick murphy's)
The Irish rover
The rocky road to Dublin
Tell me ma
Siobhan
Katy at the races
Whiskey makes me Crazy
Irish Whiskey (my favorite of all their songs)
The seven drunken nights
Good Mornin da
Johnny I hardly knew ya
It's not Irish but still a damn good drinking song
I gotta get drunk - Redbird(originally willie Nelson)
A few misc jigs, I listen to them whenever I really need to focus on something but I don't have nearly enough sadly so if anybody knows any really good bands for jigs don't hesitate to add, my favorites are always played in the key of D some people might know what that means but anyway here ya go.
Raymond J. Smyth:
McDermott's #1
The halfway house
Tenpenny bit
Not sure who the artist is on this one but is called
O'Keefe's Slide
Well I hope someone gets some use out of this list if you've never listened to Irish music you definitely should give it a shot I even got my roommate from Queens into it, being accustomed to rap and hip hop he wasn't wild about it at first but pretty soon he was stomping his foot to the beat.
