are you asking about bottle carbonation?
20f would be too cold to carbonate, so i'm guessing you're asking about 20c? which would be 68f. this would be fine.
Temperature fluctuations aren't as big of an issue as during fermentation... but you don't want drastic swings at all. see if you can find a stable spot

I have to assume he is ESL. If yes, I understand. My wife was ESL. First years tough. Middle years get better. After 19 of them, she's gotten quite eloquent at speech but still go back angry.

it sounds like he's in the 0th year of learning
