has anyone here made a SMaSH recipe using Munich Light malt? i just brewed one and would like to know what i might expect from this malt.

I have done three of them twice with Mt.Hood and once with Domestic Hallertau

I liked the Mt. Hood better but that being said you got to like Munich

I used dark and light the dark some people I shared with found it to be a bit intense

I liked it

all the best

I did a SMaSH bock with Hallertauer and Munich 10L, using Wyeast 2308 (Munich Lager). It was great -- very sweet and malty. I did a triple decoction (BIAB), which may not have been necessary. It sure took a while!

i was very pleased with the result. it tasted great before it went into the fermenter. color was coppery and clear as any beer i have ever brewed. it might be one of my best yet. crossing fingers...

From recommendation of another user on this site i brewed a munich/saaz smash turned out very nice, i think i used s-04
