Thought you all might to see beer in its infancy. We just started cutting our barley. It looks good and should easily make malt quality.
hey, did you call up the sunday session? another guy was cutting his too and said he wasn't sure if it would be malt or feed grade.
How can you "tell" if it's going to be malt grade or feed grade?
keeping my fingers crossed for youMalt quality is plump kernels (more sugar) and low protein. The kernels are plenty plump and the weather was right for low protein, but we won't know for sure until we send a sample to a lab.
