this is my first Mead, my question is......
Do you need to lay the bottles on their side like wine to keep the cork wet?

Leave them upright for a week or so for the cork to fully expand, then lay them down for long term storage.

I've only done 2 batches. I used beer bottles and caps. Jack's apricot is wonderful after 6 months.
