How much mash water to use? Palmer is his first book suggests 1.5 qts per lb. grain ie 3.8 gals for a 10 lbs grain. In his new book he recvommends 2 qts per pound grain ie 5 gals per 10 lbs. Papazian in his older book recommends 2.5 gals H20 per 10 lbs grain. I haven't seen his new book.
