Hi All
I have a Kettle that I use with a Stainless Steal Basket for the grains (I can play with the legs to have any highet I want).
I want to install a heating element.
What is the recommended margin between the Kettle Bottom and the Heating Element and between the Heating Element and the Basket.
The fit is tight so if you can also in addition to the recommended margin mention the minimum.
Thanks

I have mounted the element and temperature probes too high in my kettle so I can not do small batch brews. Yes keep the componets low in the kettle. Be careful with the BIAB and keep the metal strainer from touching the electric element. Also in a 3 kettle system in the HLK when installing a herms coil keep it higher but not too high and off the element. I installed my herms coil too high so I have to almost have my HLK full of water to keep it submerged.
