I just picked up a package of Simcoe lupulin pellets. I'm planning on making an IPA tomorrow. Is there any preference out there on when to use these? I was thinking as a zero minute/whirlpool addition or dry hopping with it. Any suggestions are welcome.

I have yet to use them, but I am there with you. I think late late in the boil would be the earliest.

I used 2.5oz in a hop stand this morning along with 2oz of pellet. I plan on using the remaining 2.5oz I have to keg hop.

A general rule of thumb is you use them at roughly half the quantity as pellet hops. Obviously you'll want to plug the alpha acid content into your software.

I have used them at late addition, whirlpool and at dry hop. I prefer them in dry hop during active fermentation. They really shine in late additions and dry hop applications.

Cheers
